Well, today, I submitted my first picture to this wonderful place, Deviant Art. This picture is an illustration of my graphic novel I am now making. It will be called Crimson Moon. Ha, ha isn't that funny that it's my account name too? Well I named the series before becoming a deviant.
In this illustration, the character, Victoria falls in love with the Vampire King, Amdis (which means immortal in latin) and I haven't figured out the rest of the story line yet with her. There are two parts to my series, one dealing with a group of monster/vampire hunters, and one dealing with Victoria and her situations. Yes, I know I need to come up with some new ideas to get this thing going. I already have notes from research on vampire mythology and such, and a rough sketch of what the story line will be.
What made me think of doing a graphic novel series, was another graphic novel series called Trinity Blood. I was absolutely amazed with Trinity Blood. It all started when it caught my attention on the TV. I was flipping through the channels one night, and I saw the title. I got curios and started watching, and then I was just pulled into it like nothing else. I wanted to know more about this series, so I have started collecting the manga and novels. And so this is what has inspired me to write Crimson Moon. The art of what the illustrator for Trinity Blood, THORES Shibamoto did is what also hugely inspired me with her artwork, so detailed and absolutely beautiful.
